Presenting: Hafnia Tech Talks #2 Protecting Identities in Public Spaces

Computer vision didn't need to know your name to be useful. In this Tech Talk, we sat down with Marian Klee from brighter AI to explore how Deep Natural Anonymization strips faces and number plates from video while preserving everything that makes the footage valuable for safety, analytics, and AI training. We dug into the questions this topic raises: what GDPR-compliant computer vision looks like when privacy is built into the design rather than added as an afterthought, how anonymization changes the trust equation between cities, companies, and the public, and what happens when consent is built into a system from the start instead of bolted on after the backlash. Whether you're wrestling with how to deploy computer vision responsibly or trying to work out where you stand on the trade-off between utility and privacy, this session offered valuable insights and practical perspectives.

This is an interactive session moderated by out Community and Partnerships Lead, Roland Harwood. 👉 Watch the recording to learn how privacy-preserving computer vision can unlock innovation while maintaining public trust.
